Are phones in schools illegal in Russia?
Yes. Phones in schools are banned in Russia. A federal law bans phones in lessons since September 2024.
Federal Law 618-FZ of 19 Dec 2023 amending the Law on Education, in force 1 Sep 2024: pupils may not use phones in lessons except for teaching or emergencies.
